The term “sea change” has been so overused that it has become almost meaningless. However, given my last post, renaissance is probably a better descriptor anyway. What am I talking about?
In his introduction to Senator Hillary Clinton’s confirmation hearing this morning, John Kerry explicitly stated that global climate change is an issue of national security and needs to be treated as such.
I am disappointed that I have not been able to find any bloggers or pundits that have picked up on that statement. But to be fair, the confirmation hearing is still in progress, so I will continue to keep my eye on the blogosphere. In the meantime, I will just remain agog at the ever increasing degree to which January 20, 2009 will truly be a Shakesperian sea change.
